Fraternal Greetings to the membership of ATU Local 1056 and guests.

Welcome to the ride we call ATU Local 1056 and New York City Transit Authority.

" If you have never belong to a fraternity or sorority your are part of one!"
 
You must be willing to learn, respect and adjust to the challenges before you daily.
 
" This is not  the best job in the world but its far from the worst" Don't take it for granted!

 We are a body of individuals that collectively working to together can make a statement and make change.

Take care of the job and job will take care of you. Remember:

  1. Attitude is everything.
  2. Cover yourselves and your fellow members at all times.
  3. Never be in hurray do your job but do it safely and courteously (within reason)
  4. Get involved in the process learn and understand what at stake, do not tear it down because you don’t understand. Get educated and ask questions.
  5. Just don’t bring problems, bring some solutions to those problems
  6. Protect what you have and gain more.

Just a reminder, we are not in pre-school, this is real life. We are here to support ourselves and our families lets not forget the real purpose.

You repeat a story, ask yourself: Is it true? Is it harmless? Is it necessary? If it isn’t, don’t repeat it!!!

 

Don’t be of a Jerry Springer mentality… Be union educated Adults that I believe that you are.
