As your President I pledge to you that I will not knowingly wrong a member or see one wronged if in my power to prevent it. I promise to promote the cause of trade union principles and defend freedom of thought, whether expressed by tongue or pen, with all the power at my command. We, your union representatives will fight for your contractual rights always.



We will achieve our goals and objectives by:

Educational and training conferences

Organizing the unorganized

Developing political awareness and activism

Fight to eliminate all forms of discrimination

Promoting a better quality of life for all Transit Workers.

Developing leadership within the ATU

Outreach to the community



I look forward to leading ATU 1056 for the next 3 years and beyond; together we will develop and form a strong team. We are strongest when we are united. We will provide the leadership, but we need you the Member to get active by attending general membership union meetings (last Tuesday of every month), volunteer for political action committees, phone banks, hand out leaflets, community service, registering to vote and get out the vote. Attend events that are union sponsored and most important is to support your elected union reps. we are here to help and support each other. Do not believe everything you hear and ½ of what you see ask the question we will get you the right answer, do not spread misleading rumors.
